You will be responsible to design and execute gas turbine auxiliary electrical systems.
Your tasks
As electrical engineer you will be responsible to design & execute the electrical portion of the
gas turbine auxiliary system in project execution:
• Responsibility for electrical designs, system dimensioning and component selection
• Define and coordinate activities with suppliers during development and during production.
• Creation and maintaining overall electrical documentation like electrical load lists, motor lists, signal exchange lists, based on input from suppliers, for GT auxiliaries
• Responsible to support the installation and commissioning of the corresponding system on site • Coordination of main interface points with Mechanical systems and I&C
• Provide technical expertise and project support to our service department.
Main electrical auxiliary components include electronic variable speed drives, electric motors, electro-mechanical actuators, electrical cabinets, junction boxes, cables and electrical protection devices.
• Regular Maintenance works on the electric systems and components of a gas turbine electric power station, approx.. 10-20% part of this job:
• Supervisory and organization of the works on electrical infrastructure, to ensures that the systems can be operated safely, in accordance with overall and company regulations and requirements.
•Support maintenance crew, to prepare and organize periodical inspections on electrical system and appliances.
Your profile
Master Degree in electrical engineering • At least 5 years of experience in electrical systems design, execution and commissioning • Strong analytical skills • Experience in electrical basic design, intended as the capability to conceptualize an electrical system starting from the process design requirements (P&ID and signal lists) to providing solutions that are reliable and cost effective • Experience in designing electrical drives for low voltage applications • Knowledge in mechanical engineering would be an asset • Willingness to travel internationally occasionally • Excellent command of English, further knowledge of Italian and/or German would be an asset.
