Like the Baldeggersee lake a little further south, Lake Hallwil is located in the Seetal, a north-south valley that leads from the Lucerne hinterland to Lenzburg. The shores around Lake Hallwil must not be built on - thus presenting a most attractive trail around the lake and an impressive natural landscape. Few kilometers don’t lead directly along the waters’ edge, as the reed zones are under protection in the form of nature reserve.
Bathing beaches around the lake are tempting places to cool off. Many of them offer a wide range of water sports. Some of the landing stages offer the chance to combine the 20km circular hike around the lake with a boat trip - and a cruise on the Lake of Hallwil is a guaranteed joyful experience.
In addition to the scheduled boat service, there are also special tours such as Sunday brunch trips, a gourmet ride or a Father Christmas trip. Wedding excursions are also popular because of the romantic setting.
Sunset: Enjoy a fantastic evening atmosphere in Meisterschwanden on the eastern lakeshore. You can celebrate the romantic mood over dinner at the Seerose or Delphin restaurants.
